Fees
Sessions
Sessions are billable for 60 minutes. Clients will meet with their therapist for 50 minutes, also known as the "clinical hour". The last 10 minutes are left for questions, wrap up and administration.
Our fees are $160.00. Fees are consistent across both child and family sessions. Fees may be paid by e-transfer and are due at the end of each session.
Additional billing will occur in 15 minute increments for services rendered outside of the therapy hour, and may include such things as phone calls, emails, letters, document review, etc.
Insurance and Coverage
Sessions are not covered under OHIP. The majority of insurance companies and extended health care plans will cover a portion (and in some cases all) of the services provided by a Registered Social Worker. At the end of each session, we will provide you with a receipt that contains all the necessary information to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
If you do not have extended benefits or insurance then therapy offered by Clinical Social Workers are eligible medical expenses and can be claimed on your tax return.
Missed or Late Appointments
Clients must provide 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment, except in the case of illness or an emergency. Individuals who arrive 15 minutes late for their appointments, will forfeit that time from their scheduled session.
